  The owner is also the server and he has no English. He does try very hard and is very friendly but communications are challenging. He does have an English menu (only names of dishes and no descriptions) so that helps, but I suggest you plan your dishes ahead by checking out these reviews. The wines are reasonably priced as well.

  We came on a Thursday at 8pm and were the first guests, The owner handles everything himself and was a great host - despite not talking any English he knew how to communicate and help with the selection. We had a wine of recommendation - very good price value (15.80), the traditional bean dish - a bit bland for my taste (I like the Mexican version better) and the suckling pig for two - perfect on point and could have served three. Shared the only available dessert and had a coffee - both perfect - to finish. He served us a homemade Honey liqueur on the house and we were in a happy food coma. Local atmosphere, great food and a personal service experience - 10/10 would visit again.

  Came by on a Sunday night at 9pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant. However by 10pm, 2 other tables joined. So do expect a quiet albeit rather cold dining experience.

  Cosy hole in the wall restaurant serving pretty authentic (at least to me!) local dishes. The food was really good, we started with the grilled Prawns, which we were mopping up every bit of sauce with bread. The baked beans which were cooked in pork was tasty but extremely heavy. So do share with 3 or more if you do order the adult sized portion. We then closed with the sizzling steak which came, as you can guess, on a sizzling hot stone. It was good quality meat, albeit rather grassy tasting as it was a fresh cut of steak. I'm a more dry aged meat kinda guy so this didn't really work for me, but certainly nothing wrong with the dish.

  This restaurant is the best! The ambiance is very traditional. The owner is exceptionally nice and welcoming, he tries hard to please his clients. And he is very traditional too. The food is great and tasteful. If you go to Segovia you need to check it out!
